19th July Onwards Information

With the intended government changes coming in to effect on Monday 19th July, we write to inform you that Dr SP Hughes and Partners have come to the decision that there will be no changes to the current service.

With Covid-19 cases rising locally as well as nationally, it is paramount that we protect our patients especially those that remain extremely vulnerable.
Patients will continue to be offered a telephone call with a clinician at which point a joint decision can be made whether a face to face review is required. Patients will be able to book routine and emergency (on the day) appointments by calling the surgery from 08.30am and 1.30pm.

Furthermore, patients will also be able to book appointments via the reception desk. However, all appointments will still remain telephone first.
Please note, all patients need to be available to come in to see the clinician during their allocated time if this is deemed necessary.

We would also like to remind everybody that face coverings must be worn at all times inside the surgery (unless clinically exempt, when you will be required to wear a face shield). If you or a close contact has any symptoms of Covid-19, do not come to the surgery until you have a negative PCR test result.

Please see guidance released 15.07.2021 by NHS England: www.england.nhs.uk.

We appreciate these are difficult times. We ask you to work with us to keep the local residents, as well as our staff safe.

The situation is ever evolving and we will review our policy as and when further guidance is available.

We thank you for your co-operation
